Hurricane Matthew impacted Sunset Beach, as you will see in these photos and videos. We were fortunate to have no serious injuries or major damage from this storm in our community. Many others were not so fortunate. We keep them in our thoughts and prayers as they try to recover.

All of the walkways have been repaired and the dunes will slowly gather more sand in the months ahead.

At the Old Bridge, we had several large tree limbs down but no damage to the bridge itself or the Tender House. We are thankful for that and for the kind friend who used his chain saw to cut up the limbs.

The videos below show the beach on Saturday morning at 10:45, the strong winds from a house on 3rd St., and the huge pile of brush and tree limbs after cleanup at the Old Bridge.
